About us

The Brotherhood of the eternal Light

The Brotherhood of the Eternal Light (BOEL) is an authentic, international, fully contacted Mystery School. It was founded by Salomo Baal Shem and the Lodge Chayot ha-Qodesh, and in June 2010, almost a decade after the founding of the Lodge and after it had already been successfully providing intensive and high quality training in the Western Mysteries for more than seven years, it was established by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki as an authentic daughter school of the Servants of the Light and has now achieved fully independent status. It recognises Dion Fortune’s Society of the Inner Light and the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn as its roots and spiritual ancestors.

The Brotherhood of the Eternal Light was founded out of the need to re-establish reliable criteria and principles for spiritual work of the highest order as a bulwark against self-deception, egotism, charlatanism, hypocrisy and guruship (which are sadly common in occult organisations)….

In the beginning, we had only met for in-person gatherings in the Frankfurt area. Even though people travelled many hours to attend, it was a comparatively small range of catchment. Later, meetings were added in the south and north of Germany. On a mundane level, we organise our community in the association “Zentrum der Qabbalah e.V.”.

Those who have met us in person or have been active in our online course for a while can apply to become members. However, you don’t have to be a member to take part in many of our online courses or even personal seminars on site. Some events are multiple days, so travelling further afield is also worthwhile.

Seminars were initially only offered by the founder, Salomo Baal-Shem. In the meantime, however, there are more and more experienced members who organise their own events.

In the last ten years we have also offered more and more bilingual events, so that we can offer even English-speaking members more and more, especially online.

Our English Youtube channel now offers over 140 free videos, which are a huge fund of knowledge around the Western Mysteries.
